SITUATION EXTREMELY COMPLEX
The situation in the talks on the implementation of the agreement on normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina is extremely complex and it is uncertain if an agreement will be reached, sources close to the Serbian delegation told Tanjug on Wednesday.
Talks between the prime ministers of Serbia and Kosovo, Ivica Dacic and Hasim Taci, on an implementation plan are taking place in Brussels with the mediation of EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton. The dialogue stopped at 1 pm and is expected to continue around 5 pm.
As he was leaving the headquarters of the European External Action Service, Taci said some progress was made in today's talks.
We are on the right track to an agreement and we are going over the final conclusions in the draft implementation plan, Taci said, adding he hopes the Serbian delegation will resolve its dilemmas.
The talks began Tuesday with a meeting between Dacic and Ashton, and continued with a trilateral working dinner, ending sometime after 10 pm.
The talks continued Wednesday with a meeting of Dacic and Ashton, which was to be followed by an Ashton-Taci meeting, but a break was made because the EU foreign policy chief was scheduled to address the Council of the EU.
