PRESIDENT NIKOLIC'S HISTORIC VISIT TO ISRAEL
May 2,2013. / AkademediasrbijaJERUSALEM - Israeli Ambassador to Serbia Yossef Levy has qualified as historic the visit of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic to Israel.
"This is a historic visit and we are very pleased and happy that it occurred," Levy told Tanjug on Wednesday.
During his three-day visit to Israel, Nikolic met with the country's President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Parliament Speaker Yuli Edelstein, toured Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and saw Israel's cultural heritage, Levy pointed out.
I think that President Nikolic is satisfied with what he saw and I am very happy that I accompanied him during his visit to my country, he noted.
Nikolic wrapped up his visit earlier on Wednesday, by meeting with Patriarch Theophilus III of Jerusalem and visiting Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Saint Michael Church, The Western Wall (Wailing Wall) and The Old City.
