A team of doctors who examined the International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) indictee Vojislav Seselj said Saturday that the health of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) leader is seriously endangered.

Seselj's heart condition has drastically deteriorated recently and a fatal outcome is possible, they said. There is no longer anyone who can say that his health is stable and who can dispute that his health has been threatened and that a fatal outcome is possible, doctor Milovan Bojic said at a SRS press conference in Belgrade.

According to Bojic, Seselj's health condition today is worse than that of former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic when he demanded to be taken to hospital. Bojic said that Seselj's health condition is significantly worse than his chosen medical team expected and that the strength of his heart has deteriorated by more than 50 percent since he went to The Hague.

This deterioration can no longer be stopped, it can only be slowed, but only with treatment in specialized institutions, not in the place where he is now, Bojic said.
