Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has arrived in Belgrade on a visit during which he will have talks with Serbian President Boris Tadic and the head of the government Mirko Cvetkovic.

It is expected that the talks will produce a number of bilateral agreements, the Interfax news agency reports.

Russia is one of Serbia’s largest trade partners.

The talks will also touch upon the situation around Libya and the Kosovo problem.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will be in Serbia today, where he will hold talks with President Boris Tadic of the Republic and Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic.

The Prime Minister's visit to Serbia beginning on the 23rd of March will inevitably cause the subject of Libya to be brought up since March 24, 1999 was the beginning of the NATO air bombardment of Serbia," said the deputy head of the government staff, Yuri Ushakov.

It is expected that several documents will be signed including agreemenst on cooperation between the two countries in the scientific, technical and tourist spheres.
