Not one institution in Serbia , nor government departments have reliable data on this issue, due to the fact that census outside of Serbia never was completed.

It is estimated that Serbs live in around one hundred countries on all continents. Most of the Serbs living abroad are stationed in Europe, then in North America. Besides Republik Srpska, which was not considered in the survey, the survey, the largest number of the Serbs in one state (illegally or Illegally) lives in the USA (around 1 million), then in FR Germany (around 800.000), then Canada (around 400.000), Austria (around 350.000), Australia (130 000), France (120.000), Switzerland (around 100 000), Italy (around 100 000), great Britain (around 70.000), Sweden (60.000), and so on.

Number of Internet media was enlarged during 1999 and 2000 more than 450%, and today over 1000 in number.

Based on the data from this research and according to the data of the Tiker news agency research couple of years long (needed for the data of the Tiker News agency research couple of years long (needed for the “World Serbian Business Guide”) including Internet media (information sites, Internet Radio, and TV programs) more than 500 media in the world currently works in the Serbian language; they hold 1.100 employed (2.2 journalists by one media on the average, or 3.2 if part-time workers are counted).
